1. Before bathing one should say the Lord’s Prayer: Our Father, Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. 2. Having crossed oneself one should plunge into the water thrice with the words “Bless, o Lord!” in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. When one leaves the bathhouse, he should cross oneself and say thrice: "Glory to Thee, our God!". |
