The tall bell-tower of 76 meters built at the beginning of the 20th century in pseudo-Russian style occupies the main position in the architectural ensemble of the monastery. It has the complete set of bells with the heaviest one of 8 ton and 400 kg. On great holy days it produces an impressive sound calling the brethren and the congregation for the All-Night Vigil or for the Divine Liturgy.

iverskayNear the tall bell-tower there is a chapel consecrated in honor of the icon of the Theotokos of Iberia. It is situated in the Holy Gates of the cloister. It is decorated with the wall-painting dating the 17th century, which is considered the most ancient in Ryazan region. Their plots concern apocalyptic themes. They are poorly preserved under the influence of time and especially due to the state of neglect during the years of atheism.

kupalnya23300 meters away from the cloister at the Holy Spring there is a wooden chapel - bath-house consecrated in honor of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian.

Among the relics the monastery possesses the relics of saints (contemporary ones as well as very old ones) occupy a special position. Some of them saw Lord Jesus Christ with their own eyes and were His close disciples and apostles.

One should remember the fact that the word "relics" in Russian originated from the word "power", i.e. "spiritual power". The Healing Gifts of the Holy Spirit are flowing through them.

According to the doctrine of the Church the relics can work wonders not on their own and not according to the merits of the deceased. The Second Council of Nicaea stated the following according to this question: "Our Savior Christ gave us salvific sources the relics of saints which pour their Bounty at the people who deserve it. And it is done through Christ, who is in them."
